Junior Infants 22/23
Another busy term in Junior Infants. We have had so much fun over the last few months from filling marble jars to earn bubbles and picnics, we were on the climbing wall, read to by 5th and 6th class, a special visit from the Ambulance, played with lego, built masterpieces with straws, had some emergency operations to perform in the vets and a very busy shop in Aistear.
We had two fantastic trips this term, one to the RNLI station in Bundoran where we learned four important steps - stop and think, stay together, float and ring 999 or 112. The boys and girls loved getting to try on the uniform and the walkie-talkie! We also went to Smarty Pants in Letterkenny for our school tour. The boys and girls had so much fun playing in the pizzeria, the shop, the recycling centre, the hospital but I think the Garda station was the most fun! We also had so much fun during Active Schools week too. We loved Yoga, skipped around Ireland and Zumba danced our way through the week. The ice-cream van during Sports for All was a real treat!
It has been a pleasure to teach Junior Infants this year and I wish them all the best in Senior Infants, well done!

Aistear in Action...!
During Aistear activity time the last few weeks, the boys and girls have had the chance to choose what station they would like to play at. We have also been learning all about pets and the vets so the boys and girls have been busy making kennels from the straws, pet shops in Lego and pretending to visit the vets. We had lots of pets cared for and some major operations! The boys and girls love having the choice and know that once a station has 6 children, then it is full and they choose a different area. Well done Junior Infants!
