S.E.T. 2025/2026
September & October:
We have had a very busy start to the school year and all of the children have been working extremely hard! I have been doing a lot of in class support with Mr Foley's 5th and 6th class (literacy & numeracy). My junior literacy and math groups have been working on a variety of skills in an active and engaging manner. My assistive technology group have been practicing their computer and typing skills and completed a project titled "All About Me". Take a look at the photos below to get an insight into what we have been learning about this term.

5th class have been working on a variety of topics this term in maths, place value, addition, subtraction, averages, data, multiplication & 2D shapes. They have also been playing lots of games to practice their multiplication facts!
5th & 6th have been engaging in a spelling intervention for 7 weeks. Each group worked on one spelling rule per week and every day each group completed dictation sentences based on these rules. They also used the iPads to complete dictionary work on their spellings, identifying synonyms and antonyms for their words and identifying what part of speech each word was.
