STEP 5 - Show and Tell - 4th Class Science Fair

Step 5 requires us to provide one example of how the children have presented and explained their STEM work to others.

A Report on our Science Fair
from one of the pupils.

In November 2018 our class set up a science fair for science week in our school hall.  Our class was split up into six different groups. My Group made ‘’The Girls Slime Lab’’ as you could guess by our name we made slime. The other groups did lava lamps, a volcano, a floating and sinking and  a vitamin rocket.
The first class to come to the science fair was Mrs. Mullanys. Then Mrs.McGinn came in.  Their classes were split into groups and every group went around our projects. When the teacher blew his whistle then the groups went to the next project.   We let them help us make the slime as participation is important.
My favorite part was when all the groups said it was amazing. But every time there's fun there is also a downfall. The downfall was when we let all the groups play and touch the slime one of the girls got slime in their hair!!!!!!. After all the fun and excitement it was over. The teacher let  everyone in my class make slime. Then it was time to clean up I think our group was the messiest because everyone just made slime and they had all cleaned up before they made slime. When we got back to class Mrs. Mullany’s class made a card and they read it out to us it was really great. Overall we had a great day. In my opinion it was my favourite day of the year (sofar).
